Be aware that using mSpy on iOS devices without jailbreak offers a more limited range of features. To take advantage of all the application's features, you will need to jailbreak the device and install the application on it.

Note: mSpy with jailbreak and mSpy without jailbreak are two different options of the same application. It is possible to switch from one option to another, but this results in the loss of data already collected using the previous option. So be sure to pick the right time to change the option.

Once after installing the app, it starts running in the background. The icon that appears after installing the application does not raise any suspicion about the presence or operation of mSpy. The device is an iPhone or iPad

In addition, having physical access to the target device may be necessary if the iCloud feature is not active or functional on the target device. If the iOS device is jailbroken, you will only need about 5 to 15 minutes of physical access to the device to install the app on it. Once the installation is complete, mSpy begins to collect data invisibly and makes it available on your control panel.

If the phone or tablet you want to spy on is not jailbroken, and you do not want or do not have the possibility of using mSpy without jailbreak thanks to iCloud, then you will have to manage to get your hands on the device for about 15 minutes in order to jailbreak the device to be able to install mSpy.

mSpy solution without jailbreak

Provided that your target device is an iPhone or iPad and that you cannot or do not want to jailbreak it, you can use the mSpy solution without jailbreak. To do so, simply connect to the control panel, select the option for iPhone/iPad (without jailbreak) and proceed with the installation using the guide. It is however required to have the iCloud ID of the target device. The iCloud service must also be active on the device. The data backup on iPhones and iPads using the iCloud service took every 24 hours, but certain conditions are required:

The device must be connected to a Wifi network.
The device must be plugged in.
The screen must be locked.
You will have to activate the iCloud service yourself if it is not activated on the device, to do so, go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Activated by having physical access to the device. You can then return to the Backup section to press the Backup now option, which will transfer the most recent backup to the iCloud account.

mSpy app for jailbroken iOS devices

In order to install the mSpy app on an iPhone or iPad and take advantage of all the available features, it is essential to jailbreak the device to install mSpy on it. You have to start by making sure that your device can be jailbroken because some recent versions of iOS no longer allow this operation. To check which version of iOS is using a device, go to Settings > General > About > Version. Compare which versions are compatible with mSpy. As soon as you have jailbroken the device, you will have to connect to the control panel to select the iPhone/iPad option (jailbreak) in order to proceed with the installation. It will take about 30 minutes to jailbreak the device and install the app.*

mSpy app for Android devices

It is necessary to have physical access to the device in order to set up the mSpy solution on an Android device, you will also have to follow the instructions that you can find in your control panel. Even though mSpy allows installation without rooting, monitoring email and email applications like Whatsapp, Viber, Facebook, Skype, Line, Snapchat Telegram, Tinder, Instagram and Gmail requires the phone to be rooted. Device rooting* may also be required to view browser history if the device is running under Android version 6 or above.

With the no-jailbreak option, data is transferred every 24 hours, but on condition that an iCloud backup has taken place during this time. Keep in mind that the data backup on iPhones and iPads using the iCloud service took every 24 hours, but certain conditions are required:

When using a rooted Android device or a jailbroken iOS device, you will receive updates based on the frequency setting you have selected in the mSpy control panel. The minimum recommended frequency is 20 minutes, selecting a lower frequency can quickly decrease the battery of the device.

The device you wish to monitor must be connected to the Internet so that mSpy can send the collected information to our servers, which will allow you to consult it in your control panel. The device can be connected to Wi-Fi as well as to a 3G/4G network. If the device uses the jailbreak-free monitoring solution using iCloud, only WiFi is accepted then.

You can monitor as many devices as you want. By purchasing mSpy, you are entitled to one installation on one device only, but you can transfer the license for free to as many devices as you want as long as your subscription is valid. If you want to monitor two devices at the same time, you will need to subscribe a second time.

mSpy offers a monitoring solution for all devices, whether they are jailbroken or not. If you don't want, or can't jailbreak the target device, you can use mSpy without jailbreaking.

Rooting your device allows owners of Android devices (smartphones and tablets) to gain greater access to the operating system ("root access"). Although rooting your device voids the warranty, it is possible to cancel the operation and return to the previous state of the device. Rooting is not essential to use mSpy, it is only necessary if you want to monitor applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber, Skype, Telegram, Tinder, Instagram, Snapchat and Gmail. Root is also required if you want to monitor the history of a device running under Android 6 or above.
